OK to have more than one personal folder

I have a user that has maxed out her pst folder ~1.9 gigs. The user would
like to keep all the information in a personal folder if possible.

Question: Can there be 2 personal folders and then I can split the above
information in half thereby being under the max. What issues are there to
doing this? The user has plenty of hard drive space to store the multiple
pst files.

Have you looked at the Archive options?
You can create, and open, multiple pst's
Assuming yr using a pre OL2003 version, you need to do something pronto! the
pst size limit is 2gb, though problems can occur once over 1.6gb
