Okay to delete old .pst files?

WinXP Home SP2. While nosing around Outlook Data Files, I found a bunch of
apparently old .pst files under. I'm sure I can delete them, but I'd feel
better if somebody with more experience told me so.

If they have a size of 265KB, then they are empty. If they are bigger,
you can open each one with Outlook, to check if they contain any useful
data.

In Outlook click File>Data File Management and see what PSTs you're
referencing. Also examine Tools>Options>Other>AutoArchive and see if you're
referencing any archive PSTs. Any PST on disk that is not contained in
those places is a candidate for deletion.
