ol 2007 does not remember custom view in to-do bar?

in previous versions, in the calendar i had a custom view in the
"taskpad" and when i would restart outlook, that custom view would
automatically display.

in ol 2007, it forgets about that custom view, and the to-do bar
settings (eg. 2-months instead of 1 month).

is there a way to restore the earlier behavior?

start outlook using the /resettodobar switch. then make sure outlook closes
completely - look in the task manager after closing it.
