OL 98 - WinXP - JAVA won't work in IE 6

I have a new install of Win XP Home. I downloaded the
JAVA VM from Sun. Appletts display correctly in IE.
After installing Outlook 98 the JAVA applets no longer
work.

Any experience/suggestions?
