OL2000 - Closes upon Opening

My OL2000 won't open. Either 1 of 2 things happens. It either opens for a few seconds (3-10, showing the hourglass icon and then closes, or nothing happens.

I have tried

1. Opening in safe mode
2. Repairing using original CD
3. Running Scanpst.exe on my main and archive .pst files (both showed no problems)

All of the above produced no change, it still either does nothing or opens, then closes.

Looking around the web, I see I'm not the first to have this problem, but what is the solution???

Here is what I have tried so far and I still have the same problem:

- Started Outlook in safe mode ( /safe switch )
- Using RegEdit, set LoadBehavior for iTunesAddIn.CalendarHelper to 0. Located at HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Office/Outlook/Addins/iTunesAddIn.CalendarHelper
- Ran scanpst.exe on both outlook.pst and archive.pst files. No problems found
- Ran AVAST! anti virus, full scan, removed 1 infection found, in an old backup file (surfacetex_com[1].htm).
- Cleaned registry and system files with RegInOut. Defragged registry as well.
- Deleted HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Office/Outlook/Addins/iTunesAddIn.CalendarHelper
- Uninstalled iTunes
- Started Outlook with /a switch
