OL2000 Failure to shutdown process

I have discovered a problem with OL2000 failing to close: Outlook.exe
remains an active process in the Task Manager and will not automatically
shutdown. Opening OL again simply adds a new outlook.exe in the Task
Manager, and so on...does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Can be caused by;
An Addin
AV software
Fax software
Or anything that integrates with OL

Make sure anything that is using Outlook data is closed before outlook is.
