OL2000: Not receiving mail, no error message

Hello! And thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

I am running OL2000 on a W2K laptop. The internet connection is
occasionally switched from a network to dial-up. All was working properly
until last Friday.

Outlook is not receiving email on a POP account. After hitting
"Send/Receive," the send/receive dialog box briefly flashes, but no mail is
delivered. All of the POP settings appear to be in order.

Problem occurs with both internet connection types.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Thank you,

Tim Walker

Your problem sounds similar to mine, though mine is dial-up only. All was OK until Friday PM, then Outlook was unable to pull email and keeps requesting my ISP password. IE6 connects to ISP with no problem, but connection fails after a few minutes if I try to download anything. I suspect a virus, but both NAV and WXP indicates that no updates are required.
