OL2002: Automated Personalised E-mail

G

Graham Millington

Outlook 2002 SP-2 under XP Pro SP-1.

I'd like to send an e-mail out to several thousand of the contacts in my
Outlook Address Book (selected based upon Categories).

I should like to do basic personalisation such as having 'Dear X' at the
beginning, and, ideally, adding, say, an additional line of text if the
contact lives in a particular city or if he/she is also a member of another
Category.

Does anyone know of any software or scripts which can help to automate this
process (preferably which works within Outlook itself)?

I am not looking for a mass spam solution to hit millions of people unknown
to me. Rather, I am seeking an easier way of e-mailing certain friends and
other contacts.

Thank you in advance.

If you also have Word 2002, you can do a mail merge. Look here for more
