We are seeing the same problem where continuous logon popup occurs.
The condition occurred after an additional Outlook profile, one referencing
a completely different Exchange mailbox, was entered on an XP Workstation. In
this circumstance the authentication credentials used to access the
additional mailbox are different than authentication credentials used for the
XP logon.
We'd appreciate input from anyone possessing the exact solution (vs a reply).
