OL2003 - hotmail access not working, MS & MVP pls help

I can access MSN Messenger and my several hotmail accts perfectly from my
IE6 browser.
Since 8/2003 I can no longer access the hotmail accts from Outlook. YES, it
did work for a year before!
I had OL XP and then upgraded to OL 2003 Beta hoping it would fix the
problem. No luck.

I have since deleted all profiles (and data files) and tried all over... no
luck.

Everytime it just prompts me for username (pre-filled in) and password
(pre-filled in).

the UN & PW ARE CORRECT as they are identical to my browser login.

I have posted this before and received no help... please MVPs & MS... help.

Hi Milly,
I just tried the suggestions in the articles (delete the reg keys, reboot,
re-enter the passwords)... it did not fix my problem.

I can access all 5 of my POP3 accts just fine... ONLY my Hotmail accts do
not work. OL prompts me for username and password and never connects to the
mailbox. The prompt is immediate (less then 1 second from the time I hit
enter). The password is already filled in (retained) so I do not think this
problem is related to the articles you posted (yes, I still tried them
anyway).

Any other suggestions for me? Thanks!
