OL2003 mail sticks in outbox

When I try to send email internal/external the mail get
stuck in the outbox until I either click on another
folder or do basically anything else in outlook, this has
only just started! anyone offer advice, we are using
Exchange 2003

This has to do with XP's firewall. Add Outlook to the
exceptions list and that should take care of it.

Tried this to no avail anyother thoughts
