OL2003 New Install - Not Downloading ALL POP Mail but....

J

Jake

.....it's cleaning up all messages off server!

Am losing messages. OL, for example, downloads one of two messages from the
ISP server mailbox.......... then act likes it's gotten both of them and
cleans out the server mailbox.

The installation (upgrade from OL2000) went very well and it appears to have
picked up my old pst file and settings. Have checked all of my account
settings and they appear correct. Have turned off junkmail screening. The
"missing" messages are not going into any other folder in OL.

Any ideas? Suggestions?

Does the counter behind the folder indicate that you've received two
messages? Reset your view to make sure nof filters have been applied.

No, Roady, that's not it. The mail that IS download goes to the proper
folder. Have, of course, checked all other folders (including Junkmail) and
the missing mail is not anywhere........ it's just not downloaded at
all...... and then wiped off the server AS IF it HAD been downloaded. But, I
have checked for any filters that may be affecting this and that's just not
the problem. And, the "counter behind the folder" indicates only the number
of messages actually downloaded.

Turn on logging to see what is happening during the download.
