Is it likely that different folks read the other group you suggest? I
don't want to be committing the vile sin of crossposting.

I lot of the same people read both groups. Crossposting (posting the same
message in both groups by including them both in the destination header -
Forte Agent, which you're using, can do this) is never a sin. Multiposting
(posting the same message individually to both groups) is.
