I'm looking for documented proof (article, posting, etc.)
that what I'm seeing is actually "by design".
Deleted Item from Junk Mail (DEL, not shift-DEL), it went
to Deleted Items folder and I emptied Deleted Items.could
not recover Item from Deleted Items, had to recover from
Junk Mail. That was weird, and I assure you it did go to
Deleted Items.
Deleted Item from Sent Items, emptied Deleted Items
folder.could recover item from Deleted Items AND Sent
Items. On Sent Items folder, went to Deleted Items
Recovery and PURGED the item. Could no longer recover
item from Sent Item, however could recover item from
Deleted Items folder. This means that either there are 2
specific msgs in the database, or the "link"/"pointer" to
the msg from Sent Items Deleted Items Recovery was
removed (I sure hope it's the later, that would be fine.
need proof).
If the links/pointers scenario is not the case, meaning
multiple msgs, this will result in the Deleted Items
Recovery on the server to increase.currently, our config
has data kept for 21 days, this consumes approx. 8-10GB
per server.
My tests were conducted in cache-mode, but to confirm
the "double listing" mentioned above, I used another
profile in non-cached-mode to look at both folders, and
made sure synch was complete prior.
Anyone have any info on this? I can't find anything.
Thanks.
