OLAP Build

P

Paul Douglas

When looking at the ""Update Resource tables and OLAP cube" screen the
current cube status I see the following message - The cube building process
was initiated on 5/2/2005 at 5:32 PM

Can some one tell me if this means that the cube is still building or is it
complete?

G

Gary L. Chefetz [MVP]

Paul:

It would indicate that the cube build never actually started, or failed to
complete. Check the application event log on the server and let us know what
errors you see in the log at or after the start time on your page.

Paul:

You should see more errors than this, particularly a couple specifically
related to the cube build. This error is revealing enough as it indicates
that there are assignment duplications in the database affecting one or more
plans. These need to be cleared up first. When you determine the specific
plans, which should generate publishing errors, these can be saved as XML
files and imported back to the server to clean out the dupes.

Gary,

Thank you for the quick reply. Yes she left the company. When you say an
account created for the application exactly what do you mean?

Have your domain admin create a domain logon to use for this purpose. Make
sure that the password is set to never expire.
