OLAP: Could not connect to the OLAP Server specified.

I have Project Server 2003 and SQL Server 2000 installed. At one time I
could build the OLAP cube, but that functionality has been lost. Does anyone
know where to start debugging this problem?

Here's the software releases that I have:

SQL Server ==> 8.00.761
SQL Server Analysis Services ==> 8.00.760
Project Server ==> 11.0.6707.0

That got me a little closer. I found out that Project Server is using a
windows account that isn't included in the OLAP Administrator group. I don't
want to add that account to the OLAP administrator group, because that person
is no longer with the company.

How can I change the account that Project Server uses when accessing the SQL
Analysis Services?

Thank you very much. That solved the problem.

There's a tool installed on your server in the BIN/1033 directory called
PScomPlus.exe Run the tools to set the identities and make sure that you use
an application account created for this purpose with a password that never
expires.
