OLAP Cube does not run unless Server is restarted

I just encountered this puzzling problem. I was out of the
office last week and the OLAP cube did not run the entire
time (it's set to run every night at 1:00 AM). On a whim,
I had one of the Network Admins restart the server and,
viola!, the OLAP cube ran.

Here's the twilight-zone part: The cube did not run last
night as it's set to do. Restarting the server every day
so the OLAP cube will run is not a feasible option.

Has anyone else encountered this peculiar feature of MS
Project?

Thanks,

Yes. But we're still trying to figure out why. It's not consistent.
We'll build OK maybe 2 or 3 nights a week. Our database is small
enough so when it does fail, we can manually run a build and have it
(usually) complete.

Having the DBA restart the Analysis Service service on the SQL server
helped us out of a hang once or twice. Maybe give that a try.
