OLAP Cube wont build

We are using Project Server 2003 SP 2 and SQL 2000. We are having trouble
getting the cube to build from the staging tables. The process gets to
Writing Segment 2 and hangs for > 10 hours. We have tried restarting
Analysis Services, the View Processing Manager, and deleting and rebuilding
the cube from scratch.

Try enabling verbose logging with the settrace utility

Has this ever worked ? If so, what changed between it working and not ?

When this happened to us, i found it helpful to processing each
partition and dimension manually.
