OLAP cube!!

Having had no end of problems with Project Server most of
it now seems to be working properly. However I do not
seem to be able to create an OLAP cube. When I try to do
so I get the following message:

"The cube scheduled to be built on 14/07/03 at 15:21
failed.

(-2147221387) Cannot connect to the Analysis server on
computer 'willington'. Connection to the server is lost"

I have gone through lots of articles in technet and done
pretty much all the steps described in the
article 'Reporting in Microsoft Project Server: Microsoft
Project 2002' as this has a section entitled Setting Up
Portfolio Analyser Views in PWA'. The only section in
this that has not been done is 'Adding users to cube
database roles in SQL Server Analysis Services'. Is this
going to make the difference or is it likely to be
something else that is causing this problem?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Somehow the cube is now built, don't think I changeda
anything but when I tried to update again it worked. Now
the only problem I have now is creating views. When I go
to the add view page and then click the Portfolio Analyser
radio button I get the following message:

"Unable to access the Microsoft Project Portfolio Analyzer
OLAP cube.

Possible Cause : The cube has not yet been built, or it is
currently being generated, or you do not have permission
to access the cube."

Any ideas on what I need to do to get past this??

Thanks

Hi

1)
I've built the OLAP cube with succes, but get the same message as David
(Unable to access the Microsoft Project Portfolio Analyzer OLAP cube) when
trying to make a new Analyze view

I've also added the users to the cube roles, as stated below, but it doesn't
help.

When I installed the server, I chose to enter the OLAP-information at that
time, but I can't find this information (i want to doublecheck them!).

2)
When i try to make a portfolio model, i get this error message when clicking
Next: "An unexpected error has occured in the modeling server. Please
contact your administrator2

Any suggestions on what to do?

Do you run the Analysis Server on the same machine as the web server? If
not - what version of SQL do you run? Standard or Enterprise?
Have you migrated the OLAP repository to an SQLServer database? (See
installation document post-installation section)
