Old program on hard drive

I inherited a computer at my job that seemed to have been cleaned up very
well. However there is a 3000mb program that the last owner wrote that I can
not remove from my computer. In add/remove programs it says it cant find the
file C:\program files\, etc. So I can't remove it, nor can I pull the
program up, however it shows that it is being run every day and is slowing my
computer down significantly. I tried removing in safe mode and got the same
answer. Anyone have any ideas?

not /quite/ sure how this relates to OFFICE......
