Older version incompatability

I work for the Univ of DE 4-H office and have been upgraded to Publisher 2003 (using XP professional). My 4-H staff has older version of Publisher, 2000 to be specific. They can not open anything I have created in Publisher 2003, and believe me I have tried saving documents in all older versions. Nothing works. Earlier in the year Brian, an MVP had to save a brochure for me so I could send it off to those with older versions. Nothing I did could get it to open in earlier version...he asked that I send it to him and he sent it back an hour or so later and everyone could then view it. Is there something I am doing wrong or is their a patch I can download? All the secretary staff has Publisher 2003 but most of the professionals and faculty have Publisher 2000.

ah patches...no I haven't...not since I have installed this. I know that might have been a possibilty. They would be on the publisher home page?

I do however check with Office updates regularly, and just did now and nothing for Publisher
