OLE Electronic Document Link

Hi,

I am a graphic designer and I am trying to create a database to manag
my files. (photoshop, illustrator, PDF, Word, etc.)

I am very happy with Access for this purpose. I use an OLE to link th
database to the file's location. However:

I am having trouble with one file format. I can link to many fil
formats (.pdf, .psd, .mdb, .doc, to name a few)But when I try to lin
to an Adobe Illustrator file (.ai) I get an error message that the OL
object isn't connected or something like that.

It doesn't matter if Adobe Illustrator is running at the time or not
Access refuses to link the file to the database.
