Ole Server Not Found - Message

Hello,

when trying to save a record in Access 97, I get an error message

'ole server is not registered. ... new installation'
(Access terminates after this message.)

The Operating system: XP home
Perhaps the Norton AntiVirus 2003 software is the problem. I've read
about problems with the script blocking function. I' ve deactivated this
option, but the ole server message still appears.
