OLK 2000 Erases Txt of Some Incoming HTML Mail

I'm running Outlook 2000, SP-3, and lately, the text of
some incoming HTML messages with embedded photos or
backgrounds is erased when I open the message.

However, the text is visible in AutoPreview until I
attempt to open the message. But after the message is
opened, the text is either nuked completely, or moved to
a plain-text attachment.

What is the solution to this?
