On Call Calendar

How can I embed a link to a contact in a calendar item? I've got a contacts
folder and a calendar in a public folder. I want to create a bunch of
contacts and then link to them from the days on the calendar to indicate
which employee is on call for that day. Anyone do anything like this
before?
