Hello
I am entering names into my database using a form. I am converting an old filing system into a new one, so I need to be able to check the names before I enter them as some are already logged. Suggestions for the best way to do this are much appreciated
But since I don't know Access so well and don't know if there will be any suggestions forthcoming, here's what I'd like help on: I see that I can prevent duplicate entries with 'indexing' and since everyone has a different SS number, that's the field I'd like to index. However, attempting to index the SS field fails when I try, I imagine because there are already duplicates
What's the best way to fix it? (I have over 5000 employees, I'd like to avoid going through manually
Lastly, is it possible to fix the 'find' dialogue box to my form?
