On Hover

Hi All,

I have a spreadsheet which has Retail site codes (format "000"). Instead of occupying another column with their name I wonder if its possible to have a on mouse hover event so when I put my mouse curser over them they provide the retailer name.

I've done something similar in Access but not sure if its possible with Excel?

I'm running Office 2007 on Windows XP.

You could add Comments (Insert|Comment in xl2003 menus).

But I wouldn't use this. You'll find that there are lots more things you can do
by using an additional cell.

You can create a table on another (hidden??) worksheet and then retrieve the
correct code.

Then you can filter, sort, subtotal, create pivottables, ... all using that column.
