I purchased a photo to add to my Website and don't want
people to be able to grab it. Can someone explain to a non-
programmer what I can do. I'm using FrontPage 2002. Answer
I received from someone said "Use JavaScript and use a
script file vs. placing the code in the page." I don't
know what this means. Thanks.

This is impossible. Don't even try.

It means you received bad advice.

True, some people add "JavaScript" program code to their
pages, capture right-clicks, and display an error
message. But people can still display the Web page, press
Alt+PrtSc, and then paste the whole browser window into a
picture editor.

There are some scripts that disable the right-click mouse function but
that would not thwart many. Actually I chuckle every time I visit a site
that tries it. If the image displays then there is always a way to grab it.

You guys were right. To solve my problem, I put a low res copy of the photo on my site. If anyone takes it there won't be much they can do with it because it's not clear. If they try to resize it, it gets worse. Great solution.
