I have it running on both (XP & Vista). WinXP appears to be relatively more
stable but that may be because XP has quite a few patches & Service Packs
already in place. Vista being a relatively newcomer should have a ServicePack
quite soon (year-end).

You should be fine running Groove on XP (SP2) as there are no special
features associated with Vista other then the general improvements in
security and stability offered by Vista.

And when can we expect Microsoft to add support for 64 bit versions of XP or
Vista?

As an early adopter of XP 64 bit Professional edition I'm quite used now to
not being able to obtain drivers and the like from third parties, and
software with 64-bit unaware installers aborting installation when they can't
install 32 bit versions of the .NET framework etc, but when it is Microsoft
not supporting 64 bit Windows I feel like insult has been added to injury!
