one file versus multiple files

Hi using one note 2007. I previously had a single one note file which
contained multiple pages, but somehow now each time I create a new document
now, it creates a content page and a page for each individual section. How do
I go back to a single file?

The basic OneNote structure is: Notebook-Section-Page.

With which part of the structure are you having trouble?
