Onte note 2003 demo version was installed and then removed. There still seems
to be some reminants of it. What directories and registry items does the one
note install create?

Likely not a compete answer.

OneNote creates *.dat files. Look under Documents and Settings\{user
name}\application data\microsoft\onenote.
OneNote creates data files in My Documents in the My Notebook folder.
