OneNote 2007 gives exception 0x8004 when running sort powertoys

I am running OneNote 2007 under Windows 7. I installed Sort Sections
Powertoy and Sort Pages Powertoy. Running either causes OneNote to
hang and deliver an exception 0x8004. Does anyone know how to fix
this?
