OneNote and an Equation Editor

I know that I am obviously not the only one who feels this way, but I wanted
to voice my opinion on the need for an equation editor. I have a laptop and
love the versatility and usefulness of OneNote as a student. I use it to
transfer my written notes as well as any that I might type. For me retyping
my notes is a great way to study and solidify the information, but there is
one very big problem.....There is no equation editor in OneNote....I have to
use word to create the equation and the copy and past it into OneNote. So in
essence I should just be using Word to take notes like I used to. Please
send out a service pack with an equation editor or at the very least make it
an add-on option that can be purchased. I have the most current edition of
Microsoft office (2007) and I can't as a student afford to purchase yet
another software package. I hope you can sympathize with this idea and also
understand the real drag it is not to be able to take notes in my Stats class
on my laptop simply because of the lack of the equation editor. Thank you
for listening to my input as well as everyone elses.

Michael,
this topic has been the subjects if quite some postings over the years.
And AFAICS such kind of tool would be of help for many.
At present except your workaround with Word I would only see a chance to
carefully search around in the net for equation editors. AFAIK there is
quite a number if tools available, even freeware/open source.
Perhaps a tool running side by side with ON and putting the formula into
ON with copy & paste might be possible.

There is no chance for a patch. And I can not even assume if it might be
possible to add something in Office which is scheduled for next year.

To reach the developers and submit a suggestion for the next version you
may post this in "Connect", the place for submitting suggestions and bug
reports to the developers team:
http://connect.microsoft.com/onenote/

When done, pls drop a note with the URL in here so that we can jump in
and vote for your suggestion.

I've created a bug about this. Wouldn't let me submit it as a suggestion for
some reason.

Thanks fro posting.
Obviously you did not find the right way to post a suggestion.
The GUI is not too intuitive {siiigh}. As this is not the first where
someone fails to find the proper link I made up a commented image:

I will vote for your suggestion. Unfortunately at present the
Connect-server seems to be down once mire (this happens from time to
time).

Meanwhile I could access the Connect site.
I voted for your suggestion.
