OneNote audio recording is not working, what do I do?

I have DirectX10 and WMP 9 but I still can not get it to record my voice from
my microphone. Any suggestions?

Have you opened up the volume control, selected the RECORD option button to
go to the volume controls for recording and made sure to select your
microphone and move the volume up.

OMG!!!!!!! I thought I had turned everything on but the Line-In was muted.
Thank you. The most obvious thing is what is overlooked til you get fresh
eyes. Thanks again.
