OneNote is great but why is there no Format Painter tool?

Is there a technical reason, or a negative consequence in OneNote for there to be a Format Painter button? It would be so helpful to have it, just like having the autocorrect button handy.

Hmm must be missing something here... OneNote does have a Format Painter button. Which OneNote are you using (iPad, Android, Windows?) In the regular OneNote you can find this on the Home Tab.

I am using OneNote 2007. Do not see a format painter button there.

You are right. It wasn't there in 2007 but after a lot of nagging from the fans they added it from 2010 and on later versions. I know not the answer you were looking for but thanx for replying!
