Only 2/3 of Word application window usable on 23" Cinema display

I have a 23" Cinema display which I use as my sole display running off a 12"
powerbook, which is usually closed.

When I set the resolution at the maximum (1920 x 1200) I can use the entire
screen to view applications: true for Safari and Office apps such as Excel
and Entourage. But I cannot make the window as large as I want in Word - the
application window just refuses to expand beyond about 2/3 of the screen.
Why is that?

It's probably because 2 factors working together:
1) You connected to the 23" CD *after* Word was launched.
2) You're using Tiger OS (10.4.x)

Try quitting and re-launching Word. You should now be able to use the
entire desktop space. This didn't seem to happen in Panther (10.3.x).

Let us know if that isn't the case for you.
