Open 2003 in 2007

I have 2007 on my pc. Other staff have 2003. I can open their 2003 files in
our shared file only as "Read Only." Any hints as to why? What is the fix?

07 has a 'trusted source' feature you must ok....look in the admin/security
area....

Is this a split database, where each user has their own independent copy of
the front end (linked to the same back end)?
