Open Access IV to MS Access?

The good folks at my office have been using Open Access IV as their
order-tracking software, and have finally decided that it's time to convert
to something more modern. Are there any tools that could make some form of
direct conversion from Open Access IV to MS Access, or am I going to have to
start building a database by hand?

Hi Grady,

You should be able to export the data from Open Access to text or dbf
files and then import it to tables in the Access database. But all the
functionality of the database will have to be created from scratch using
Access's own tools. Given the different strengths and weaknesses of the
two tools, it's probably worth re-thinking the database design and user
interface in the process.

Thanks for the reply, John. I figured that I'd need to build a frontend, but
my big fear was that we'd have to enter all the data in the existing
database by hand into the new one.

We found an option to export from Open Access IV to dBase format, so now I
just have to start working on creating the tables and all. Thanks again for
the pointer.
