open excel file without excel

help! ive been sent a price list from a supplier and it
is .xls i dont have excel on my compter but wanted to know
if there was another way to open it, please help me

You can download a free Excel Viewer program from Microsoft. This will allow
you to view and print Excel workbooks, but no edit or calculate data. See

If you need to edit and have no macros, you might try

but the graphics are only rudimentary.
