I am working with frames and want to use a hyperlink to
open an existing page on another site. I have managed to
get this done, but I do not want the menu bar from the
othe site to show. Is there a way to accomplish this?

No, unless you contact the other site and they provide you a link to a page
without their menu. You really should open external links in a new browser
window.

Framing another website can cause you to need a lawyer, depending on the
site.

Do you mean the browser menu bar,
or the navigation bar from the other site??

Also, do you have permission from the
other site to do this??
If not, be prepared for some nasty e-mails.

I'm hoping to do the same, opening a new without the browser menu, similar to "Behaviors" that open a new window

The objective is to allow a floating window for outside web research, while maintaining presence on our site. The floating window would be as simple as possible.
