open multiple versions

when i start outlook it is opening multiple times in the task manager under
processes but only once on the desktop. it causes problems with attachments
and deleting email. Any ideas.

It usually means Outlook is not closing properly when you think you closed
it, and so a stub remains running.

Such behaviour is frquently posted, you need to give your version of Outlook
and type of mail account for any specific reccomemdations
As a first port of call run Outlook Detect/Repair or Diagnostics & retest,
if not cured,
start outlook with the safe switch;
Run>
Outlook.exe /safe
See if the none closing issue goes away
