With the latest version of OPEN OFFICE for the Mac, when compiling
data using the CALC program, can the finished file be read by a PC
computer using either OPEN OFFICE CALC for the PC or Msft Excel for
the PC?

AND, vice versa, can a fCALC ile prepared on a PC be read by a MAC?

The OO .sxc files are readable by OpenOffice and its derivatives on any
platform (Mac, Win, *nix).

Those files cannot be read by MacXL. However every version of Mac OO can
save files as .xls files that can be read by any version of XL on either
platform.
