open page to new record

I'm developed a Data Access Page to be used as a guest registry. The only
problem is that when the form first loads it shows the first record in the
database. How can I open this with a new record field, we use access 2000.

This was checked in Access 2003, hopefully it will apply to 2000. Open the
page in design view, right click the page and choose Page Properties. On the
Data tab try setting Data Entry to Yes.
