open pages not open

I have upgraded to FP2002, (FP2000 being uninstalled first).

One annoying aspect (bug?) is that I can't save to a page I have recently
opened, saved and closed from another page on "save as." The program
reports the file already open ... when it is not.

I notice now that this is also reported in the hyperlink properties box ...
several pages declared to be open when they are not. I suspect that there
is some temporary cache not being cleared on save and close. Any
enlightenment and fix please? As it is at the moment I have to save with a
different name and then rename to the old file which is a pain.

PS ... I am refreshing the view after each change .... makes no difference.
Closed files still showing "open."

With your web open, click Tools >
Web Settings > Advanced and then click the
delete Files tab.
Close the web and FrontPage.
Do a file search for files named:
*.web and delete all found.
Then search for *.tmp and delete all found.
Then clear your temporary Internet and history files.
Reopen FrontPage and the web and see if it works.

Dear Steve

Emptying the caches doesn't work. I still can't save one page to another
when the destination page is closed. Moreover, the "Delete files" button
doesn't delete the temporary cache.
