Open password protected (Windows) xlsx files

When I try to open a password protected xlsx file, saved in Office 2007 for Windows, I get prompted to enter the password. After entering the correct password, I get the error message "The file might have been damaged or modified from its original format" and the file isn't opened.

Opening that same file using Office 2004 for Mac gives no problems though...
