Open PPT files readonly in Explorer

Does anyone know how to set up file associations in Windows Explorer
on Win2k so I can open .ppt files read only in PowerPoint. I have
successfully done this using DDE for .doc files in Word but I can't
find any info on the Internet for how to do it in Powerpoint.
