Open Resources into Project 2007

The account i'm logging in is in the PWA Administrators group.
Yet when i try to open up Resources from Resource Center, i get "You do not
have sufficient permissions to perform the requested action. Contact your
server admin"

Why would i be getting this ? it is a newly installed environment.
More importantly, how to fix ?

first of check you all logged in with the correct account. Check the top
right corner of the screen for the username.

If you are running under a PWA admin account, then I would expect that some
permissions have changed. Make sure your user is only in the administrators
group (remove all other groups). Check that this group has no global
permissions denied.
Also check that the user object has no global permissions denied.

Check PWA permissions under server settings and again check for denied
permissions.
