Open up a query in design view

I am a new access user and may have done something wrong - but I have
designed a query and saved it. When I try to re-open it I can get the query
but if I want to see it in design in design view it gives me the error
message - invalid use of null. So...every query that I save - when I go to
reopen them I cannot get into design view. Please help!

Perhaps you are trying to "open" them by double-clicking and/or highlighting
and clicking? This "launches" the query.

Highlight a query, right-click it, and select Design View.

Sounds like the database file might have gotten corrupted. Try running a
Compact and Repair to see if that helps. If not, create a new database file
and import everything from the old database into it. If something refuses to
import, it's probably corrupt. In that case you need to recreate it manually
or, hopefully, import it from a recent backup.

Two Questions:

1) Are you using Access 2003 or Access 2007?

2) Are there any ' (single quotes) in the complete path name for the
application?
