Opened file from email and hit save where is it?

I opened an excel file from my email and hit save, but did not select a
specific path. Do I have any hope of finding it? Thank you.

It is probably in your temporary files. In all probability it will be
deleted if you delete the original email but may still be around.

Since you didn't tell us your operating system and email program being used
it is a little hard to tell you where to look.

I guess you are aware now that you should always save a file into a known
path instead of just clicking on Save.
