Opening a certain Subdirectory gets Word Lockup

When I use Word 2000 to open one, and only one, subdirectory it locks
up. No error message. Task Manager says Word is not responding.
Have to End Task to get out. All other subdirectories - to my
knowledge - open fine. Is there something in one or more of the
subdirectories within this certain subdirectory that could cause this?

Usually this is a rogue FTP path that is listed in the folder. Open the
folder using Explorer and see what shouldn't be in there.
